2008? How can that be? |

December 29, 2007

Seriously…I feel like I’m blinking and time has flown by…I’m spending this last week of 2007 reflecting on what I’ve accomplished and planning on where I want to be for 2008. I can tell you that this has been an incredible year for me. I’ve met so many amazing people and feel like I’ve really grown both professionally and personally. Sniff. ::grin:: And many of you have helped me along the ways — in ways you can’t even begin to imagine. So…thanks.

Mostly for me — but also for you if you’re up for it — I’m posting up this “favorites of 2007” slideshow — some of these images you’ve seen, some you haven’t. But mostly, they tell the story of how I saw the world in 2007 and how amazing the weddings, kids, families, musicians and pets I’ve photographed have been. I’m honored.

So…if you haven’t already — take the time to really think back about the past year and acknowledge how you’ve changed — both the good and the bad. I don’t make resolutions — but I do make plans — and 2008 is gonna be a whopper for me – so buckle your seat belts! ::laughing::

I’m so dramatic.

Enjoy.

PS — here’s a photo that “almost” made it as my holiday card. I’m a color freak. I admit it. Admitting it is the first step to acknowledging that you have a problem. ::grin::

Tammy at work |

December 21, 2007

I dragged my son out on a photo shoot with me — with the charge to take pictures of me taking pictures. A budding photographer himself, M has a very unique perspective on the world and I love working with him!

(Editor’s note: Check out Kelly on the edge of that floating dock. She was sooo nervous — but did whatever it took to get the great shot! This location is one of my favorites…)

So this is what YOU see…

And this is what I see… (cool, right? I really wanted it to have a touristy vintage postcard feel — does it work?)

I noticed them! But I didn’t see the description that goes along the top (i.e., “pet portraits”) so I was a little confused…maybe that should be closer to the tabs?

Loved the “shed” pun, btw! I just got that :)

I noticed, but now I understand…my eye to brain coordination truly sucks…

Happy Holidays — Light Crayon Style |

December 17, 2007

Sometimes a photograph can turn out unexpectedly amusing — and this is how I feel about this one.  My intention was to have a sweet photograph of my dog Lulu — some holiday lights and snow.  But…this is what I got instead.  It makes me laugh.

So…happy holidays — from tammy and lulu and all the gang here!  Hope it’s as unexpected, funny and relaxed as Lulu!

A winner and a teeny quote correction. |

December 14, 2007

Just like “Luke I am your father” ::Darth Vader voice. Heavy breathing:: is always misquoted… apparently — Sally Fields is ALSO famously misquoted — and I fell into the misquote trap.  Because I never want to be the one to say I don’t fix my mistakes ::grin:: –  here’s the REAL quote:

In accepting her second Oscar for her role in “Places In The Heart”, Sally Field said: “The first time I didn’t feel it, but this time I feel it. I can’t deny that you like me, right now you like me.” It is often misquoted as simply: “You like me, you really like me.”

Thanks to loyal reader Jeff for the correction…and congratulations to Carol for being the winner of 50% off a session — she’s got a new grand-baby and wants new pictures!

Stay tuned for other fabulous contests and prizes — I’m in the mood to celebrate this brand new website — and, well…it IS the holiday season after all!
