Little Whipper Snapper |

February 24, 2008

I love that phrase. And it fit perfectly for my session with little baby C today. He was an angel and put up with all kinds of weird suggestions from me — he took it all in and was completely adorable. I can’t wait to show his mommy and daddy the pictures — but for now — here’s a cutey pie sneak peek:

An Operatic Moment… |

February 22, 2008

A sneak peek of my lovely opera baritone A.  I love that every single person I photograph says — I hate having my picture taken – I take TERRIBLE pictures!  ::grin::  It’s awesome to show them photos and have them LOVE the images of themselves.

Here’s a peek with more to follow…he’s gorgeous!  (And patient.  It was sooo cold — but the light was amazing and I kept making him stand there while I played. Fun!)

Light Crayon Photography going on vacation until February 16th |

February 9, 2008

I know you’ll miss me, right? ::grin::

It sounds funny though.  That the PHOTOGRAPHY is going on vacation.  ::laughing::  But I know you know what I mean.  :)

This is me last year with my dolphin companion. No dolphins (or cameras either) this year — just a few days away to regroup and reboot. (Can you tell I’ve been in front of the computer for too long?)

Emails will be answered after the 16th. See you then!

Blizzard = Amazing Photoshoot |

February 7, 2008

Now that she’s seen them  — I can share the session with the lovely Savanna.  She’s a vocalist and sincerely beautiful and sweet.  If you can believe it, during her photoshoot we had an unexpected blizzard – which made shooting outside challenging!  We ended up in a lovely hotel downtown and got some amazing shots.  I don’t know why — but challenging situations make me even more creative.  Instead of worrying and freezing up (pun intended) it makes me think outside the box to make photo shoots work.  I think it’s fun…though I am not so sure my clients feel the same! ::grin::

Click the photograph to see her amazing slideshow.  Fun!

Beautiful, once again…..
I love the B&W profile where she is looking up. She’s got that big curl right on her shoulder…….looks very vintage.
