I found this via BB Blog (love BB Blog!) Washington Post's On Being.
I've been working my way through each of the vignettes and have found each one both visually wonderful and thought provoking. I especially love "eddie" and May the turkey.
Seriously...I feel like I'm blinking and time has flown by...I'm spending this last week of 2007 reflecting on what I've accomplished and planning on where I want to be for 2008. I can tell you that this has been an incredible year for me. I've met so many amazing people and feel like I've really grown both professionally and personally. Sniff. ::grin:: And many of you have helped me along the ways -- in ways you can't even begin to imagine. So...thanks.
Mostly for me -- but also for you if you're up for it -- I'm posting up this "favorites of 2007" slideshow -- some of these images you've...
They usually aren't particularly good in front of the camera for their poor photographer parent...
I'm just saying...and if you're REALLY a glutton for punishment...click here.
I dragged my son out on a photo shoot with me -- with the charge to take pictures of me taking pictures. A budding photographer himself, M has a very unique perspective on the world and I love working with him!
(Editor's note: Check out Kelly on the edge of that floating dock. She was sooo nervous -- but did whatever it took to get the great shot! This location is one of my favorites...)
So this is what YOU see...
And this is what I see... (cool, right? I really wanted it to have a touristy vintage postcard feel -- does it work?)
I'm wondering if you noticed the tabs right up there. See them? Have you clicked them yet?
Each one is a different focus in my portfolio.
sweetness and light -- children and family portraits
in the limelight -- performer portraits
light up my life -- engagements and weddings
shed some light -- pet portraits
green light -- senior portraits (coming soon -- if you know anyone who might be interested in being one of my 2009 spokesmodels -- please let me know -- fabulous prizes involved!)
spotlight -- current projects I'm working on.
So...tell me. Did you notice? ::grin::
Because they are fun and beautiful and totally customized for your gift! Shoot me an email at tammy@lightcrayon.com to get yours ummm...today! Remember $25 off the session fee if you order before December 23rd! And yes, I'm busy -- but never too busy to make one of these -- they are sooo much fun!
Here is the most adorable L -- checking herself out during a december holiday photo session and practicing silly faces for me to photograph. I do have the photo of this particular face when she turned around for me and "posed"...but I love this one even more for it's emotion and intensity. She REALLY wanted to make faces! (Editor's note: this photo did NOT get used for the holiday card...::grin::)
Sometimes a photograph can turn out unexpectedly amusing -- and this is how I feel about this one. My intention was to have a sweet photograph of my dog Lulu -- some holiday lights and snow. But...this is what I got instead. It makes me laugh.
So...happy holidays -- from tammy and lulu and all the gang here! Hope it's as unexpected, funny and relaxed as Lulu!
